In a Demo Day format, the seven finalists of the fourth edition of the Business Ideas Competition presented their ideas to the jury, where two of them were announced winners. The B4Students program will help them with funding and mentoring for their implementation.
The Living App business plan by Nadiela Ahmeti, a student in the Professional Master’s program in Business Informatics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, part of the University of Tirana, aims to create a gamification-based application that aims to promote local tourism and businesses and positively impact the health and well-being of users.
While Elda Myftarlli, a student in the Bachelor’s program in Business Administration at Tirana Business University College, with the Artal business plan, focuses on creating a marketplace for the sale of creative products produced by local artisans.
The two winning ideas, Living App and Artal received grants of 5,000 euros and 2,000 euros, respectively. Both young entrepreneurs will also benefit from the advisory of BALFIN Group’s experts during the implementation of their project for the first 6 months of activity.
The members of the jury, Mariola Kuçi, CEO of Retail Park, Almarin Liço, CEO of KidZone (Jumbo), as well as Altin Sholla, Administrator of Tirana Business University College, applauded the entrepreneurial spirit of the finalists, the diversity of ideas, and the positive impact on the environment and society expressing confidence in their abilities to bring ideas to life.
Fostering innovation among young people and preparing future leaders is an essential focus of the B4Students program, part of the Mane Foundation, under the special care of its founder, Samir Mane. This competition is just one of many initiatives the program undertakes to empower the next generation of business leaders.
